In my teen years my grandma (from my father's side) told me about oil pulling. I was ignorant as everybody else during this period of life and forgot about it. Later in life when I started to have problems with my gums I remembered and tried. It was simple and it worked. I advertised it to my relatives and friends and everybody had good experiences. It is old Ayurveda process that is reported to cure:" headaches, bronchitis, tooth pain, thrombosis, eczema, ulcers and disease of stomach, heart, blood, kidney, liver, lungs, varicose veins, constipation, arthritis, high blood pressure, cancer, leukemia and women's hormonal disorders. If these claims sound exaggerated try out the process yourself. It's not a magic pill kind of treatment hence takes significant amount of time in giving you the desired results. It can take from two days to a year to cure a disease, because it works on the roots of the diseases.

How to do it:

First thing in the morning, before brushing your teeth, eating or drinking, take 1 tbsp of either sesame or sunflower oil. Put the oil in your mouth and slowly swish, suck and pull through the teeth. Do this for 15-20 minutes. Swishing activates the enzymes and the enzymes draw toxins out of the blood. You want the oil to become thin, white foam when  you finally spit it out. If it's still yellow, you haven't done it long enough.

Spit it out in the toilet and rinse your mouth out well.

Do not swallow the oil, for it become toxic.

Do not stop if you feel a worsening of symptoms, because this is indication that your body is healing.

My opinion is that the oil pulling is a good way to stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and it's worth to try it.
